But I don't think I've ever seen such an embarrassingly blasé display as the one South Carolina Senator Darline Graham turned in on Monday night:

"'I'm not that informed on national security' is not only a terrible answer, but it's also one that's almost hard to fathom." 

Did the senator's late brother, Lindsey Graham, never bring the subject up around the table?

Did his sister glean none of his expertise even through passive osmosis?

As CNN's Aaron Blake observed, Trump has endorsed some stinker candidates this year. Republican primary voters have rejected ten of his picks -- "one shy of matching his worst year, 2022." On August 25, South Carolina Republicans may just make Darline Graham lucky number eleven.
