About That 'Nonpartisan' Group Filing a Complaint Over Sean Duffy's Road Trip...

Townhall · back to the audit
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is being criticized by the usual suspects over something harmless: a family road trip to encourage Americans to explore this great country on its 250th birthday.
Duffy "spent parts of seven months on a road trip with his family," doing only "some work" in his official role, per an interview cited by CREW.
The trip was filmed for a series titled "The Great American Road Trip," tied to America's 250th anniversary campaign.
Production costs were paid for by the Great American Road Trip, Inc.
A DOT spokesperson said "Production costs were paid for by the Great American Road Trip, Inc," a nonprofit run by a former transportation lobbyist and backed by DOT-regulated companies including Toyota, United Airlines, and Boeing.
CREW asked the DOT Inspector General to investigate, arguing the arrangement "may have violated federal gift and travel rules."
