A Miami restaurateur was among the 7 people killed in a Kenya helicopter crash
The family of a Miami restaurateur said they were 'devastated and heartbroken' after he and six others died in a safari helicopter crash in remote northern Kenya. A helicopter crashed Wednesday morning flying from the Loisaba Conservancy to the Ewaso Nyiro area in Samburu County, in rugged foothills near Mount Ololokwe. The aircraft was a Eurocopter EC130 B4, owned by Lady Lori Helicopters, operating a charter flight carrying guests of travel company &Beyond. The cause remains under investigation. Five of the seven victims were U.S. citizens, per the State Department. Roger Duarte - Miami restaurateur, founder/owner of George Stone Crab. Stephany Hollihan - his wife, a fashion designer with dual U.S./Ecuadorian citizenship; they leave two children. Adam Hlavaty - South Florida real estate executive and MRKT Group co-founder. Henry Parra - his husband, a Navy veteran and aviation maintenance company co-founder. Josh Outram - pilot, founder of Africa Heli Adventures, who once flew for Save the Elephants.
