Trump calls White House ballroom foes 'treasonists' following Supreme Court plea
President Donald Trump slammed the preservationist nonprofit group that sued him over the East Wing Ballroom construction, calling the group "treasonists" and alleging they "revealed top military secrets."
Trump posted the allegation late Friday evening after filing an emergency petition asking the Supreme Court to allow his planned construction of the White House ballroom to continue. The National Trust for Historic Preservation sued the Trump administration in December 2025 over the ballroom, arguing he did not follow the proper regulatory or authorization channels or timeline when he began construction. The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and a federal appeals court each sided with the preservation group.
"These are the TREASONISTS that brought the suit against the Military Complex. They revealed Top Military Secrets!" Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday.
