Boston: Federal Judge Dismisses Trump Admin's Antisemitism Lawsuit Against Harvard University
A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit from President Donald Trump's administration that accused Harvard University of antisemitism. U.S. District Judge Richard G. Stearns ruled that the administration failed to prove an ongoing violation of federal civil rights laws, stating the incidents were "too isolated and episodic" to establish a persistent civil rights violation. Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon responded to the dismissal: "The Justice Department's Civil Rights Division is actively investigating antisemitism nationwide." She added that the division maintains "an extensive and active portfolio of antisemitism enforcement, including indictments, prosecutions, settlements, and investigations." The statement indicated the administration disagreed with the judge's decision and was evaluating next steps.
