Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema is running for a second term on the party slogan: "There is more to be done". After 15 years of trying, he was elected president in 2021 with just over 59% of the vote, defeating the Patriotic Front (PF) and then-president Edgar Lungu, who got almost 39%.

Member of the National Assembly for Mporokoso, Brian Mundubile, secured a last-minute slot to file his candidacy under the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP), which was formed in May.
