South Carolina voters head to the polls on Tuesday for a special primary election to replace the late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on the November ballot.

The crowded field includes the late senator's sister Darline Graham (R-S.C.), who was appointed to fill the remaining months of Lindsey Graham's term following his death in July. She is projected to advance to an Aug. 25 runoff, with the endorsement of President Trump and the financial backing of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

However, a pair of sitting congressmen, Reps. Russell Fry (R-S.C.) and Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), stand in the way of Sen. Darline Graham's bid for her party's nomination and a full Senate term in the ruby red Palmetto State. Former governor and congressman Mark Sanford and businessman Mark Lynch are also running.

If no candidate secures at least half of the vote Tuesday, the top two candidates will move to a runoff on Aug. 25.
