Joe Biden's condition worsens as cancer spreads to bones — son

LONDON, August 8. /TASS/. Former US President Joe Biden's condition has worsened as his prostate cancer has spread to his bones and elsewhere, his son Hunter told the BBC.

"The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further," he said, adding: "It's very painful and it's very debilitating in many respects."

"It's really sad to watch," Hunter Biden said. "The only thing that I'd say about my dad, about his health right now, is I wish he would complain more, because it's not good."

Biden announced in May 2025 that he had been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. He subsequently underwent five weeks of radiation treatment. In September, he also underwent surgery for skin cancer. Biden's wife, Jill, later told NBC News that the cancer had "metastasized to his bones" and added she believed he would "live with cancer till the rest of his life."
