Wesley Bell Beats Back Cori Bush Comeback Bid
The incumbent Democrat won a rematch against the progressive he ousted in 2024. Incumbent Rep. Wesley Bell (D-Mo.) beat back a comeback bid by former Rep. Cori Bush in a hotly contested Democratic primary to represent Missouri's 1st Congressional District on Tuesday. In the end, it wasn't close, as Bell won in a landslide. Bell led Bush with 71% of the vote when the race was called for him. The super PAC spent more than $3 million to support Bell's campaign in 2026 after spending more than $8 million in 2024. Bush, in 2024: "AIPAC, I'm coming to tear your kingdom down!"
