With the polls now closed, Michiganders on Tuesday are determining who will run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Democratic Sen. Gary Peters.

U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens faced off against former executive director of the Detroit Health Department Abdul El-Sayed. The race garnered attention across the country as it pitted the moderate Stevens against the progressive El-Sayed.

Republican former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers is running unopposed and will await the winner in November.
