Southern California sends resources to fight fast-moving wildfires in Washington

Resources from Southern California have been sent to eastern Washington state to provide support as fast-moving wildfires destroyed hundreds of buildings and forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate over the weekend.

Officials say at least 600 buildings have been destroyed.

As of Sunday evening, the three fires — now known as the "Spokane Complex Fire" — have burned more than 5,000 acres and forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate over the weekend.
