Multiple people dead, suspect dead in shooting at Twin Falls In-N-Out: Police

TWIN FALLS, Idaho — A deadly shooting at an In-N-Out in Twin Falls, Idaho, Saturday left multiple people injured, others dead, and the suspect deceased, according to police. The exact number of fatalities from the incident has not been released by officials. "Our department is responding to an active shooter incident," the Twin Falls Police Department posted on social media at 2:23 p.m. Saturday. "We've had a shooting at the In-and-Out location that has resulted in fatalities," Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said at a news conference Saturday. "I don't have the exact number confirmed. We're still trying to make notification of the next of kin." "We believe that the threat to the community is over," said Hicks. "The suspected shooter in this incident is deceased. He was nearby on the scene there and we are working to try to ascertain his identity and the motivations behind that. We'll be able to figure that out in the next coming days." Police also said there is a lot of "misinformation" being shared on social media about the suspected shooter and they asked people to "refrain from sharing information in an attempt to not share misinformation." The suspect's identity has not yet been released by officials. Police said the shooting happened inside the In-N-Out restaurant in a busy commercial area on the city's north side.
