Washington wildfires spread to 7,700-plus acres, 600 structures damaged or destroyed
A fast-moving wildfire in Spokane County, Washington, has burned several thousand acres, destroyed numerous homes, prompted hundreds of evacuations, according to local authorities on Sunday. Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson declared a statewide state of emergency and issued a burn ban until the end of September. Scorching over 7,700 acres as of Sunday night with 0% containment. Have destroyed or damaged at least 600 structures, including homes.
