Republican Senator Bernie Moreno has called for his former son-in-law, Rep. Max Miller, to withdraw from his reelection campaign following serious allegations of abuse involving Miller's ex-wife Emily Moreno and their daughter. In a statement, Moreno described the situation as "horrific" and expressed concern for his granddaughter's safety. He stated: "If there are any basic standards of character required to hold elected office, Max Miller fails them." Miller responded with a video addressing the allegations and announced he would not drop out of the race. According to reports, Miller released audio admitting to spraying his wife with hot water, contradicting his denial of the abuse claims. Emily Moreno's spokesman characterized Miller's video as a "lie-filled rant" and expressed confidence that justice would prevail in court proceedings.
