U.S. Forces Complete 'Heavy Wave' Of Strikes Against Iran; Trump: 'It's Our Turn'

U.S. Central Command announced Wednesday night that U.S. forces had "successfully completed a heavy wave of strikes against Iran in response to yesterday's attempted missile attacks on U.S. forces." "CENTCOM assets struck dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense sites, and maritime capabilities," CENTCOM said. "The strikes aimed to further diminish threats posed by Iran and its proxies to American forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries." "We're going to be hitting them very hard, because it's our turn to hit them," Trump said. "They know it's coming, they're asking us not to do it." "They nevertheless took a shot, so it's our turn," he said. While leaving the door open to a potential agreement with Tehran, Trump added, "We'll see if we get there with an agreement at some point, but we're going to hit them really hard." Trump said Iran fired five rockets at U.S. forces the previous night, traveling roughly 8,500 mph, but that all were intercepted.
