Pakistan and Qatar have proposed that Iran should reopen the Strait of Hormuz immediately if the U.S. ends its blockade of Iranian ports and lifts sanctions on Iranian oil sales as part of a two-week ceasefire formula, Pakistani government sources told Anadolu Agency. Under the proposal, negotiations would resume immediately if both sides accepted. The implementation of a ceasefire in southern Lebanon would also be placed near the top of the negotiating agenda.
