Iran Reports First Night Without US Attack in 13 Days

Iran reported its first night without a U.S. attack after 13 consecutive days of strikes, while U.S. Central Command also did not announce any overnight operations. Hossein Kermanpour, a spokesman for Iran's Health Ministry, said in a post on X that no attacks were recorded overnight and casualty figures remained essentially unchanged. 'Fortunately, no attack was recorded last night, and therefore the casualty statistics for the July war, apart from the discharge of a few more injured individuals, did not see any significant change. It seems our dear Iran had a peaceful night last night, and no part of its body was struck or hit. Iran's body is intact. Iranian head is healthy,' Kermanpour wrote on X. CENTCOM, which had posted statements and social media updates after each of the previous 13 nights of strikes, had not announced any new attacks as of Saturday morning. Axios reported that President Donald Trump made the call not to green light another round of attacks. Neither CENTCOM nor the White House immediately commented on whether the lack of announcements reflected a pause in operations. The apparent lull came a day after Trump said he had not yet decided whether to authorize a larger military operation against Iran, telling reporters the Islamic Republic was becoming 'more and more serious' in negotiations with Washington. Trump also said Iran faced a choice between reaching an agreement with the United States or confronting a 'much higher level' of strikes, while reiterating that his red line was preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
