The United States attacked a tanker in the Gulf of Oman, killing two crew members, on suspicion of carrying Iranian liquefied natural gas (LNG), Iran's state broadcaster reported on Friday. The report, which cited unnamed sources, said the US military fired on the vessel after it ignored warnings to stop. The report could not be independently verified. The US Central Command did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the Iranian state broadcaster's account.
