New Poll Reveals Where AOC Stands In Race For The 2028 Democratic Nomination

Progressives often tout Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) as a potential candidate for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination. And according to a new poll conducted in an early-voting state, Democrats appear to agree. The Granite State Poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center between July 15 and 20, found Ocasio-Cortez leading the field with 22% support among likely Democratic primary voters. Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg came in just behind at 21%. Both sets of voters cited different reasons for their choices — with Ocasio-Cortez supporters pointing to her policies and ideology and Buttigieg backers citing his qualifications and competence.
