NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani considers Netanyahu arrest ahead of UN General Assembly visit

The New York mayor said Netanyahu 'belongs in the Hague' and aims to act in accordance with the International Criminal Court, though he's not sure he has the authority to issue the order to the NYPD.

'I believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu belongs in the Hague,' Mamdani told NYT podcast host Lulu Garcia-Navarro on The Interview.

'He's a war criminal who has been charged by the International Criminal Court [ICC],' Mamdani added. 'And what you will find is that it is an opinion that is held by many, purely because of what his actions have wrought over these last many years.'

'Whatever the law allows me to do in New York City, that's what we will do, but we won't be writing our own laws to that end.'
