Trump Announces Primetime Address To The Nation

President Donald Trump announced Monday that he will deliver a primetime address to the nation Thursday evening, though he did not specify what the speech will cover.

"President Trump will be making a Speech to the Nation on Thursday evening, at 9 P.M. Eastern. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" a post on Trump's Truth Social account said.

Two White House officials told MS NOW that the speech will cover newly declassified intelligence reports revealing foreign efforts to interfere in the 2020 presidential election. The president will reportedly be joined during the address by CIA Director John Ratcliffe, acting Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, according to the outlet.

The speech is also expected to declare the elections of Georgia's two Democratic senators, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, illegitimate due to fraud, according to the Washington Reporter, citing a source inside the state.

More information on the alleged Georgia election fraud is expected to be released prior to the primetime address, the Washington Reporter added.

Ossoff and Warnock were elected in January 2021 following runoff elections, flipping control of the Senate to Democrats to begin President Joe Biden's term. Trump was defeated by Biden in Georgia by less than 14,000 votes and filed multiple lawsuits challenging the legitimacy of the results, all of which were shot down in state court.

The White House has released few details regarding the topic of Thursday's address, and President Trump kept it vague in a Monday interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt. "It's just going to be a speech like a lot of my speeches," Trump said.
