Trump scores major win as Congress passes housing crackdown on Wall Street investors
President Donald Trump scored a major legislative win after Congress cleared a sweeping housing bill aimed at expanding the nation's supply of homes and lowering costs. House lawmakers voted 358-32 in an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote Tuesday to approve the Senate-passed measure.
Trump abruptly canceled a planned signing ceremony for the legislation in the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, citing his frustration that Congress has not yet approved the SAVE America Act.
"The Elizabeth 'Pocahontas' Warren centric housing bill, which is of minor importance compared to lower interest rates, and even FISA, pales in comparison to passing THE SAVE AMERICA ACT," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
